My power rankings for the upcoming 1981 season. Tiers are arranged as followed: S - The truly elite teams. Pencil these teams into the playoffs now, whether it be via a Division title or Wild Card. Heavily favored not only to make the playoffs, but win a Championship as well.

A - Serious contenders. One big move away from jumping into the next tier. Should be in the running for a playoff spot all year, if hot at the right time could make a deep run in the playoffs.

B - Close to contention. Have a few things go right or add a couple players and could easily be in the playoff picture.

C - A .500 record could be considered a success, anything above that is a bonus. Rebuilding, but getting closer.

D - Good luck this year, guys. Keep building up the prospects and see you in the higher tiers soon.
